Gallup Daily: Obama 49%, Clinton 46%

McCain leads both Democrats by 2-points

PRINCETON, NJ -- There is little change in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update on the contest for the Democratic presidential nomination, with support among national Democrats at 49% for Barack Obama and 46% for Hillary Clinton. Both Democratic candidates are hard at work campaigning in Pennsylvania, which holds its primary on April 22, and in North Carolina and Indiana, whose primaries are on May 6. The biggest news surrounding the Democratic campaign continues to be the focus on the ultimate endgame, and the implications for next fall's general election of a close and contested race that could last through the summer.
