Jon Corzine (paraphrased) if Hillary doesn't win BIG in PA"
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 09:56 AM by Jersey Devil
(and he said he meant by at least 15 - 20 point) she will not win the popular vote. He then said that if she doesn't win the popular vote, then the Super Delegates (himself included) would have a hard time justifying a vote for her rather than Obama. (on CNBC squawkbox this morning) He stopped short of saying he would vote for Obama.

Note also that Corzine is an announced Clinton superdelegate at this point and a strong Clinton supporter.

One other thing I get out of this, by his emphasis on the popular vote, is that Corzine is apparently ready to vote for Hillary if she gets the popular vote but is behind in pledged delegates. It also shows that he clearly understands she cannot win the pledged delegates because he never even mentioned that.

4. not from Corzine you haven't
He's as strong a Hillary supporter as you can find and for him to start wavering you can bet there are more.

7. No, I mean, remember
when Clinton insiders were saying of Hillary's campaign that she had to win both Ohio and Texas resoundingly, or else "it's over". Well, Texas appeared to be a draw (and in the end, it turns out she LOST Texas), and yet, she's still in it (unfortunately).

8. How many *new* superdelegates have announced for Hillary since Texas?
Or Super Tuesday, two months ago, for that matter?

6. My gov too, though I wish Codey had gotten the job
It would be great if the Dem won the presidency, put Corzine in the cabinet (Treasury?) and then Dick Codey finally got the job he should have gotten in the first place.

10. I preferred Codey too...
Corzine turned out to be a major disappointment. He can go back to Wall Street and give us back NJ.

9. Last I heard she needed to win 60 to 65 percent of the state...
to keep up in delegates. I love how they keep changing the goalposts for Hillary.
