A reminder of why I am proud that Jimmy Carter indicated support for Obama
Former President Jimmy Carter Bashes Bush
Calls the Bush Administration "the Worst in History"

According to a report from WCBSTV.com, former President Jimmy Carter says that the administration of George W. Bush is "the worst in history," in terms of its international relations, pre-emptive war, and its Middle East diplomacy. Carter also criticized the environmental policies of the Bush White House and its faith-based initiative funding. Carter called the funding "quite disturbing," according to WCBSTV.com.

Bill Clinton: "Everybody makes mistakes when they are president."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The White House, attacked by critics for a now-retracted line about Iraq seeking uranium from Africa in President Bush's State of the Union address, has gotten some surprising support from former President Clinton.

"I thought the White House did the right thing in just saying 'we probably shouldn't have said that,' " Clinton told CNN's Larry King in a phone interview Tuesday evening.

"You know, everybody makes mistakes when they are president," Clinton said. "I mean, you can't make as many calls as you have to make without messing up once in awhile. The thing we ought to be focused on is what is the right thing to do now. That's what I t

1. Most presidential mistakes don't result in well over
1.2 million deaths, and the exposure of and dismantling of an agency whose primary function was tracking WMD's.

That's unbelievable what an apologist he is.

4. it's not in this link
there is another thread where Carter indicated that given that his state, his town, his children and grandchildren supported Obama that you could 'draw a conclusion' as to who he would vote for.

6. Questions for the Clinton people

Consider this date is after the Wilson NYT op-ed on this that triggered the outing of his wife. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C07E3D61E3AF935A35754C0A9659C8B63 ) It was already known that this was not a "Mistake" but a blatant lie in the January 2003 SOTU, which Bush used to make a case for the March 2003 invasion.

1) If HRC were in the early stage of 2004 in July 2003, would Clinton have said the same thing?
2) Did it make it harder for the eventual Bush opponent to make the case that Bush misled us into war?

10. Carter calling Bush the worst in history...
is pretty funny considering his own administration is one of the worst in history. Though it looks hypocritical, at least he's got some facts to sorta back it up. The Bush administration is definitely one of the worst in American history. Not sure if it's the worst. The guy who let us go to a civil war, James Buchanan, is pretty high on the list of bad presidents.

11. Carter had a lot of extenuating circumstances that were beyond his control
giving him high negatives. However his inaction over iran has had lasting effects that we are still feeling today.
