12. A list of his bills passed by the House and Senate would be more helpful.
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 01:12 PM by Benhurst
Usually only those passed into law and signed by the president are all that count; but given the asshole in the White House, all those passed by the House and Senate and sent to the White House should count under the present circumstances.

So, how about a list of his bills either signed into law or vetoed by Bush and not overridden?

It's my impression, which could be incorrect, that he hasn't done all that much. But to be fair, a junior senator who only served two years before starting a bid for the White House wouldn't have had the time to build much support for any legislation of his own making. If he is an exception to the rule, I would be interested in learning about it.

14. That's about what I would have expected from someone in his position.
In the old days, newly-elected senators were expected to be seen but not heard, often remaining silent during floor debates for months, even years. But Obama's not running on his record, is he? Hope, Change, etc. McCain should have a much more impressive record, given his years in the Senate. A better tactic might be pinpointing BAD legislation introduced or co-sponsored by McCain.
