Can Reid play a part in Hillary's withdrawal from the race? |
|
Please note: I'm really just curious if this is a valid opinion, rather than should he or shouldn't he, or should SHE or shouldn't she. I'd just never heard this option proffered previously.
So a local Raleigh radio host was saying that the "civil war" in the Dem party as a result of the campaign could be brought to an end easily and simply. How? Reid GIVES his slot to Hillary.
According to the host, he thinks that's doable, and that Hillary would most likely accept the offer.
The host was snarking on Reid saying that he wouldn't make such a move because he's not the type of person who would put the good of the country before his own political ambitions (which we've seen evidence of with his cowing to the Reps on several occasions).
Anyway, CAN someone in a position like that just offer to step aside and give it to somebody else?
I doubt it could be that easy. Anybody know? Thanks.

2. Yeah, well I didn't for a minute think he WOULD, |
|
just wondering if he COULD. :7
I do think Hillary would be good in that position - she's impressed me when I've seen her in Senate hearings. I think Chris Dodd has earned it more than anyone, though.
