At this point I'm feeling pretty sad for Obama supporters |
|
I can see why Obama supporters are frustrated, even angry right now. They haven't won the nomination and it's 2 weeks until PA with IN, PR, OR, etc. to follow many of which favor Hillary. I guess I'd be downright mad, mad enough to ask WWTSBJQ?
I mean here we are after some of the biggest primaries and Hillary is still neck and neck with Barack in the gallup, within a winnable margin of delegates (save me the charts and graphs, she's within striking distance and he won't win the majority either) and the popular vote. W/out the help of the MSM and MoveOn.org. she's raising some serious money and campaigning effectively. (In fact, some of the outlandishly biased press is becoming laughable (who can take Tweety seriously when he's crushing on Barack?)) She's fielded every turd thrown her way with aplomb and continues on.
Yeah, I guess I'd be pissed if I were an Obama supporter because we're entering the last primaries and Hillary's still in this thing and we know what the Clintons are like when their down and counted out.
And did you ever notice how Barack's demeanor changed when the Rev. Wright fiasco broke, he looked dejected and depressed. I thought he was at a funeral half the time. He looks better now and clearly last night on the College Bowl thing, he looked good, like the old Barack - back in the saddle. Now that no ones picking on him and with Tweety holding his hand, he must feel better.
It's going to be tough. I know how you guys feel.

2. Yeah, true: as Democrats, we're not used to winning. |
|
It's a bit sad having to give up our losing ways. But that's OK: you Hillary folks are welcome to those, and we Obama people will just have to make do with winning.

much in this race and we're coming into primaries that favor Hillary. I think the Obama campaign thought/hoped Hillary would be gone by now.

35. Heck, I hoped ................. |
|
....she would be gone by now......Obama will most likely lose here in PA - but it'll be in the single digits. He will win Montana, Oregon - Indiana is a bit of a toss up - and most of all, he will win North Carolina. Guam, if anyone cares.....either way - Hillary will not catch up in delegates or the popular vote. Period.

Leading in pledged delegates, gaining SD's daily, leading in popular votes AND in states won, closing FAST in PA, ahead HUGE in NC, ahead in OR, AND out-fundraising the Clintons.
Yep, I feel horrible. If I felt any worse, I MIGHT start dancing...
Thanks for the laugh - made my day.

29. funny, Clinton and her supporters thought they had it wrapped up a year ago |
|
according to them it was something about entitlement
Obama was just a speech, a fad, didn't stand a chance
One thing Clinton showed us how NOT to run a campaign
If she gets the nomination and continues to run her campaign against mccain with the same mediocrity, we are in big trouble

45. They need to consider why he has not been able to seal the deal |
|
If he really is as great as they say, why has it been so close? Could it be that there is not really a dime's worth of difference between them (and there isn't really if you look at the voting record, objectively, without some kind of ax to grind)? Really they are both a tiny smidge left of center on some things, a tiny smidge to the right on others. On balance pretty centrist overall.

"Why hasn't (name here) been able to close the deal?" is a question that needs to be asked of the candidate who polled ahead in double-digits before the campaigning began. The nomination was Clinton's to lose. She had the name recognition and the history, such that it is. The onus is not on Obama. That's a flip-flop designed to take the heat off of Clinton's campaign blowing every advantage and believing its hype too heavily.
