I don't want this man back in the White House
I haven't forgiven him for cheating on his wife and I expect him to do it again and again! Especially with very "little" to do as the spouse (or "First Gentleman") of the President ....

He was a fantastic President, but it's time for him to completely disappear from our political scene.

111. no, a terribly run Gore campaign and SCOTUS crap put * in the WH
as well as arrogance on the part of the Bush team in isolationist Foreign Policy as well as assuming America was at no risk.

It astounds me that we Dems spend so much time complaining about a Democratic president with some good policies who was able to get himself elected more than once. Incredible. I know many people who would have gladly voted for him a third time.

122. Do you think the Lewinsky affair and Clinton's lies about it had no political effect?
That's naive, IMO. I'm sorry, but welcome to the USA.

Clinton was a very popular President, but his bad judgment and lies fired up the fundie base and made a difference in a very close election. IMO, enough of a difference to ALLOW the USSC to intervene and make the illegal decision to install Bush.

Sex and lies have political consequences in the USA. I wish we were more like France and allowed our leaders to have private lives. but we're not there yet.

Meanwhile, I take exception to the none of our business stuff. He was hooking up with an employee -- as a superior. That's very dangerous ground. And the lack of judgment does bother me very much.

None of which I hold against Senator Clinton, btw. But the husband has not worn well on me.

there are far more serious issues at stake here than a blow job supposedly done by somebody who ISN"T running for office.

Bill can't wait to return to his playing ground, with little else to do and I intend to help stopping him. With both Obama and McCain you'd get a clean house, but not with Bill.

Yes many don't care, but this is a major "Electability" issue come the General Election, which most Democrats are sadly overlooking.

76. my dear young man, you really need to get yourself laid, and forget about
the fact that Pres. Clinton has gotten more sex than you.

by the way, just how many scandals have there been about Pres. Clinton since his two terms expired? are you salivating at the prospect of more juicy little tidbits?

seriously, you sound like someone whose interest in other people's sex lives is deeply unhealthy.

for the record, WHY are you not concerned about the immorality of the current squatter in the people's house and the vast numbers of people who are DYING because of it? and I notice you aren't saying anything about the little affair between the current occupant and his secretary of state (who openly refers to him as "my husband")

to say the least, your priorities are a bit skewed.

I must say, I hope you got your attention-junkie fix for the day.

still wondering WHY you are an ex-pat.

It's a major "electability" issue.... I personally feel the presence of Bill repulses many Republicans, that would otherwise be drawn to vote Democratic.

We shouldn't shove his past immorality under the table.

I'm more concerned about a return...

How many times has he overshadowed HRC's message on the campaign trail? Now you want that level of distraction in the White House? You want the president trying to explain the crazy shenanigans of the first laddie week in and week out? Think it won't happen? Think again - the republicans will make sure it happens - week in, week out.

Edit for typo - beware the spelling police!

The country overwhelmingly took his side in the whole thing and only a very few fringe republicans thought he should have been punished over something that was private.

I agree Obama is more electable, but it has nothing to do with Bill Clinton's affair and everything to do with his policies and her voting record.

Any voter turned off by that, wasn't EVER going to vote democratic, no matter who was put, b/c ultimately they are one of those people who believes they should be involved in everyone else's personal lives.

I feel former Repugs drawn to the democratic party after the disastrous Bush years, would switch back and vote for McCain, instead of voting for Clinton.

I'm trying to point another negative that makes Clinton less electable in a general election.

More Americans will cross-over from the Republican Party and vote for Obama than for Clinton.

Entrenchment in "competitive managed care" with mandatory feature and extraordinary penalties

will give the Megapharms, Medical Industry and Big Insurance HUGE WINDFALL PROFITS at our expense

and provide justification to indefinitely delay single payer health insurance which we desperately need

touting that "We already have "universal health care"

Dean had it right and so does Obama...

until we ROOT OUT CORRUPTION, we need a stop gap that has A HOPE OF PASSING, without burdening the working people

I know I know... that was HRC, not Bill... still worthy of mention
