You want to know what I hate?

I hate to see the planet being destroyed by global warming.

I hate to see the coffins coming home from Iraq.

I hate to see people sleeping on the streets.

I hate to see our economy collapse.

I hate to see our jobs being shipped off to overseas sweatshops.

I hate to see the GLBT community being denied equal rights.

I hate to see racism.

I hate to see torture.

I hate to see our elections being stolen.

I hate to see our prisons being filled with non-violent drug offenders.

I hate to see people without health care.

I hate to see unions being undermined.

I hate to see our schools failing.

I hate to see our bridges falling.

I hate to see our rivers being polluted.

I hate to see the shredding of our Constitution.

I hate to see deforestation.

I hate to see addiction to fossil fuels.

I hate to think about the possibility of a McCain presidency.

We have no reason to be tearing ourselves apart over petty bullshit, no matter who gets the nomination we have a lot of work to do on a lot of very important issues. If we want to make progress we need to be united, if we start hating one another just because we may support different candidates we are never going to be able to bring about the type of change that no single candidate could ever bring.

I think we should all hate poverty, death, environmental destruction, and greed. Don't you hate that stuff as well? Hate aimed at things is not the same as hate aimed at people.

Haven't actually clicked on any of those primary threads, have you? These things keep blowing up because Hillary keeps arguing that the primary results don't count.

But I do not hate Hillary, I strongly dislike her as a candidate but I do not hate her. We should not be hating one another, we should be building coalitions to get things done on the issues that face our nation and the world. That thread was just about tearing us apart, and it did nothing to actually bring about any type of change that is needed in this country. If it were expressed in a different manner maybe it could have raised a very important discussion on the need for reform in our primary system, but it did not do that. Instead it just caused a bunch of screaming back and forth.

I never said any such thing and in fact I said completely the opposite of that, I said I hate what Hillary is doing. That does not mean I hate her.

I want major reforms made to our primary system, but I know we will not get those reforms with substance free posts in which we scream about how much we hate one another.
