2008 Primary Season -- Have you lost respect for someone who used to admire greatly? |
|
For me, it has to be Ambassador Joe Wilson and Wes Clark.
It's not so much losing respect for them as it is discovering that as much as they portrayed themselves to be outsiders, they were true creatures of the establishment. If it were others supporting Hillary, I'd be fine with that. But Joe Wilson and Wes Clark stories are the antithesis of the establishment given what happened to them, particularly Joe Wilson/Valerie Plame on Spygate.

I can understand Bill. He's working for his wife, so that's OK with me.

2. Gloria Steinem, Robin Morgan, and Geraldine Ferraro |

It's one thing to be excited about a female Presidential candidate, and to rightly point out the sexism leveled against one. But to dismiss and minimize racism, or to even encourage it via racebaiting (as Ferraro did) is simply unforgivable, particularly coming from feminist icons.
