"Manchurian Candidate" on FX network tonight....
The latest incarnation of the classic movie,
starring Meryl STreep as Elllie Shaw,
the mother, and ultimate political manipulator of the
pre-programmed Raymond Shaw...
who plans to bring down the American government.

And Streep is flawless.. and scary.
Her characterization, her mannerisms,
her speech, her appearance, every gesture,
even the tics, and flaws... seem modeled
on Hillary.

Did she do this on purpose?
Or am I simply oversaturated by this campaign,
and needful of sleep and a vacation?

Have you seen this film?

1. Yes...
I saw it a few years ago and it felt like it was modeled after her.

5. Re-makes are always a challenge...
This one was different enough to be interesting. But so many remakes are weaker than the original.

6. Remakes in general suck...
The recent 3:10 To Yuma was a big exception to that rule. I thought the MC remake was good, particularly because it had good acting. Denzel and Meryl are two of the best ever.
