Hillary shouldnt have opened her appearance on Leno Joking about Bosnia
You know after her little joke and talking quickly about it, she started sounding really good and I liked what she was saying. But the media wont listen. They dont care about issues, they care about the other stuff. You can guarantee the media will focus on her Bosnia joke, and little else, running that part on endless loop instead of the meaningful things she has and will say in this interview. And the more talk about Bosnia does Hillary little good.

3. It's incredibly disrespectful to the troops in Iraq
I have a cousin who served over there (apolitical) and he's not amused.

4. I know...
...what's so damn funny about Hillary being a raging liar?

Gee. What a knee slapper. One of our Democratic frontrunners can't
be trusted to tell the truth.

Pardon me, while I split a gut.

5. I agree - I don't think it was a smart PR move
The press, of course, will probably keep playing that loop over and over, completely ignoring the other substantive conversation she had - she was very good, but I have a feeling that, unless you watched it live, you won't see much of this interview other than the sniper joke.

9. Yes, shes on right now
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 11:15 PM by hnmnf
she started out talking about how she was pinned down by sniper fire and I think she said that she had trouble getting there because of it. Then she got into a substantive discussion besides her BS about Florida and MIchigan which Jay actually called her on.

10. I agree it was a bad move
I would have advised her to seriously discuss the topic, and move on as quickly as possible...I don't know what possessed her to make a joke about the incident.

12. It's similar to Bush making jokes...
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 11:16 PM by TwoSparkles
...about not being able to find the lost WMD.

Yucking it up and basking jokes on the fact that you're a lying asshole--just isn't that comical.

17. I didn't say she did.
The parallel is obvious.

Both Hillary and George lied, and then went on to turn their dishonesty
into comedic one liners.

Duh.

27. I'm not comparing the "impact"...
...you're bringing up something that I never even discussed.

I simply said that both Bush and Clinton lied--and then turned around and tried
to make a comedy routine out of those lies.

It's the lie--->comedy process that's similar. Get it?

Obviously, Bush's lie was more impactful.

However, that doesn't make Hillary's lie any less despicable in it's own right.

I think lying about being under sniper fire--when you clearly weren't--and forgetting that the entire
truth was filmed--is colossal stupid.

But hey, maybe you're just into that sort of thing.

32. Or How About....
The White House looks the same
As I come down from the strain
Of the primary battles with my friend Obama

Near the oval office on the floor
I see a stain right past the door
It didn't touch the blue blue dress of her.

(Sung by Hillary after she is president to the tune of the Green, Green Grass of Home - at the 2009 Correspondents Dinner)

18. It isnt great work. It isnt great when your opponent says somthing so distructive
This is not just going to hurt here. This is going to affect things come GE time. McCain will talk about how "Democrats joke about sniper fire while troops in Iraq dodge it" or some other crap.

Yes this will cost Clinton in PA yet it will cost the democrats overall more in my view.

Carry on.
