what is Hillary Clinton's average campaign contribution?
I've heard that Obama has raised twice as much money as Clinton in March -- $40 million to $20 million, and that Obama's average contribution has been $96, indicating widespread, grassroots support.

I haven't heard what Hillary's average contribution, or what her number of donors is.

Anyone know?

1. She won't release the numbers until April 4th
and I heard that they reported the figure as "close to 20M", which probably means less than (otherwise they would say "over").

14. Actually, they won't release the *details* until the 20th. Don't believe that $20M story.
That's the total donations, but also includes GE money she can't spend in the primaries. Obama has been totally transparent with his donation allocations. She has fewer donors, so they are maxed out and can only give more by giving to her GE fund. Subtract that and her outstanding debts and she's in a world of hurt! Notice how she tries to slip this under the radar by taking the full time until the 20th deadline, hoping no one will notice.

5. it's a question
I guess you could call it a quiz, if you want.

But it's not a competition. Please, no wagering. :D

6. Why are you so testy? It's a legitimate question

One candidate is beting supported fully by small donations by over 1.3 milllion people.

The other is relying more on big "fat cats" and lobbyists and the traditional way of raising money in Washington.

This is a clear advantage for Obama that any super delegate would look at hard when making a decision.

13. They need to take out funding that can only be used for the GE within the estimated $20 million.
And then you have her vendors. I don't see how she will be able to continue. She might just want to pay off her debt and then she will be gone.

4. Let's look at it this way -neither of the two remaining candidates
eschews corporate money.

No change in that department-

7. HIllary has taken over $1 million in PAC money
and nearly a million from lobbyists. NO, they are not the same, no matter how many times you try to pretend they are in order to rationalize away your candidate's corruption.

9. I've looked at the candidates fundings sources
for myself- as anyone can.

Run a few searches, and find the sites that show the disclosures.

Easy enough.

Obama isn't Howard Dean- and that's alright. He is who he is- no illusions there.

Similarly, I have no illusions about the Clintons -and I admit it is strange to find myself in a position that looks like I'm defending them (actually, with respect to some aspects of foreign policy, I am to an extent, unlike Obama, who makes statements supporting Bush I and Reagan).

Like many people, I'm not particularly enamored with what seemingly we have to choose from- though I do value and respect people like you who are. As anyone who thinks clearly does.

Thank you, btw for your efforts for Obama and Kerry in Oregon- I love this state too, and I miss it when I'm gone.

My thoughts are the same as they've always been: No More Republicans.

Tom McCall types are long gone -though the corporate media will try to paint McCain as someone like that- and JMHO -that's the biggest obstacle we face.

I'm not convinced that the obama campaign is up to that task. We won't win this one nationally with feet stomping and juvenile behavior any more than we will with kumbaya. The Clintons at least know that much- so it's fair to give them props.

270 is the goal, 2025 is only halftime.
