The most important thing about the CBS Poll or why attacking Obama WON'T work
Edited on Fri Apr-04-08 11:33 AM by BL611

The Republicans line of attack on Obama is supposedly questions about his patriotism. They believe his relationship with people like Wright along with his foreign sounding name will undermine him and lead to his ultimate undoing. It seems as if the Hillary camp (whether out of sincerity or self interest) has bought into this. Well, here's the CBS poll about whose values are most American:

DOES...SHARE AMERICAN VALUES

Yes No
Obama 70 21
McCain 66 27
Clinton 60 34

So after Wright, after months of "Muslim" rumors and lapel pins and whatever else, he is still looked at by voters as the most "American" candidate. In other words if the Republicans want to make this their strategy in the GE, fine, IT WON'T WORK!

2. You can bet they will just try harder to undermine him in that way. 24/7 on
TV cable with ads showing Obama and Wright will be their strategy over the next several months. Bastards won't give up.

4. Thats fine
They just got two weeks of free media and it didn't dent him, if this is how they think they'll win, more power to them, we'll be inaugurating President Obama next January.

3. and we won't stop donating!
One thing the mainstream media loves is campaign money!

The more Barack has to spend on commercials in the GE, the more 'American' he will become....
