'I can win' : Clinton
Thu Apr 3, 5:56 PM ET

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Hillary Clinton insisted Thursday she could still win the Democratic Party nomination, despite calls from several supporters of rival Barack Obama that she admit defeat.

"I know I can win, that's why I do this every day," Clinton told reporters after landing in Burbank, California, on a fundraising trip. "I am in it to win it, and I intend to do just that."

Clinton was asked about a report that she had personally told New Mexico governor Bill Richardson that Obama could not win the presidency, before he endorsed the Illinois senator last month. ABC News cited sources with direct knowledge of the conversation as saying "'Barack Obama cannot win Bill, Barack Obama cannot win.'"

Clinton said she would not talk about private conversations, but if true, the report would signal that her camp is now making blunt arguments to top party figures about Obama's prospects in November's general election.

2. "I'm in it to win it."
What is it about that phrase that annoys me so much?

13. Perhaps this guy...

and this song... (which, if you have a group of 12 year old girls around, is REALLY annoying!)

Yeeaah..

Push it push it to the limit limit
Cause we're in it to win it in it to win it
Oh yeah

I realized that this is where my heart is
Now is the time to finish what I started
Can't worry bout what other people might say
It's who I am
Gotta live my dream my own way

Work work it harder
Gotta take it farther
No holding back
You know we gotta do it right now
Be even better
Work work together
It's now or never
Show em how we shine we gotta

Push it push it to the limit limit
Cause we're in it to win it in it to win it
Oh yeah

Push it push it to the limit limit
Give it all we can give it
We're in it to win it
Oh yeah

Push it push it to the limit limit

That's right

21. Maybe because it smacks of pure self-interest.
Edited on Fri Apr-04-08 01:11 PM by AngryOldDem
It's clear that the Dems need to move on from this, and soon; that the longer the in-fighting continues, the worse it will be to the party as a whole. But none of that matters. The good of one outweighs the good of all -- kind of like a scorched-earth policy. To me it's like she's saying that if/when she goes down, she wants to take everyone else with her as well. And's there's not a damn thing admirable or noble about that.

Life's a bitch ,but I deal with it
I'm in it to win it like Yzerman
Can drink about fifteen Heinekins

I'm not born again but if I was
I'd ask to come back with a little more love
Puffin the Winston, drinkin' a four-oh
Kid Rock and I'm a let you know

3. Loser
My god, what kind of a reality is she living in?

It's going to be hard for her to enjoy lunch with Nancy Pelosi a year from now.

Onward and forward to the new world.

Go Obama!

14. it's all about the pronouns

For Hillary, it's almost always the first person singular, I can win, I am more electable, when I was first lady;

With Obama it's always been the more expansive, encompassing yet intimate first person plural. WE can Change, the way

things are (Hillary has a problem with verbs too). Changing the world for the better is much more engaging and satisfying

then watching 2 people duke it out, for whatever reason.

15. If Americans really want change
they should focus on the Senate and House elections, thats where change happens. Unfortunately, most Americans haven't figured that out yet.
