New poll for OREGON will be coming next week
... from SurveyUSA, "exclusively for KATU-TV in Portland." Also new polls for Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

http://www.surveyusa.com/index.php/2008/04/04/coming-up-3/

A poll in January (before Super Tuesday) had Senator Clinton at +8. However, earlier this week, many Oregon officials publicly endorsed Senator Obama en masse. Anyone think Senator Obama can do better than +10 in Oregon?

5. I hope so! But Oregon is a primary ...
Washington was a hybrid. Their caucus went +37 for Obama, but the primary was only Obama +6.

I'm hoping the public endorsement by Oregon officials will bump the polls way over 10 for Obama.

8. The Primary didn't carry any delegates, not nearly as many people
participated. Obama has gotten one OR SD, so far:Rep. Earl Blumenauer.

Hillary has gotten 2: Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley.

Oregon SuperD's left to endorse:

Sen. Ron Wyden
Rep. David Wu
Rep. Peter DeFazio

OR DNC Members:

Meredith Woods-Smith
Frank Dixon
Jenny Greenleaf
Wayne Kinney

10. Ahh, I didn't realize that!
If the race is still on by Oregon primary, I bet there'll be a huge turnout. That would definitely be in Senator Obama's favor.

9. Pssssssst -
Oregon is not a caucus. In fact, it is the exact opposite of a caucus. You vote from home, by mail. No long lines. No screaming at you for your choice.

15. Obama wins more Primaries, too.
By larger margins than Hillary.

4. I'm in Oregon, and Obama drew 13,000 at the Rose Quarter in Portland.
Hillary is coming to Portland tomorrow, and her "town hall" type rally is going to be at Liberty High School, out in one of the outer suburbs (Hillsboro). We are very proud of our transit system, both MAX and the buses, but she's not even having her rally on any of the routes, to make it easier (and greener) for people to come see her. It's going to be about a 35-45 minute drive to get there from the city and that would be without traffic. Strange venue and not one that is conducive to pulling in a lot of folks who may still be undecided.

6. Interesting, she's not rallying in Portland
Works to our benefit, I guess. Senator Obama draws "rock concert" crowds ... I bet he could outsell the Rolling Stones if he were charging for tickets!

14. VERY interesting piece of information.
some time ago I read something about her purposefully choosing venues that were different to avoid comparisons regarding attendance, but choosing a place that requires effort and a car (in a green state) is a bit short-sighted.

7. Obama (+6) crushes McCain there, while Clinton (-6) has big trouble vs. McCain there.
Rasmussen from 3/27 suggests it could be an Obama state, even though head-to-head vs. McCain don't always indicate the Democrats' choice.

12. The two strongest primary states for Obama coming up are Oregon and North Carolina
he wins both Oregon and Washington according to polls against McCain while Hillary loses to McCain in both states. I think that the Oregon poll will be good for Obama. I think that O is also expected to win in upcoming caucuses in Montana and South Dakota--those are like states which went overwhelmingly for him before.

13. I think we can definitely count on at least 4 states going for Obama
... You're right: North Carolina, Oregon, Montana, South Dakota. And it might be extremely close in Pennsylvania and Indiana. I'm feeling really good about Senator Obama's chances.

That leaves Senator Clinton with West Virginia, Kentucky and maybe Puerto Rico.

Guam! Who gets Guam? :D
