I got a letter from James Carville today!
He wants me to contribute to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

Now, I have a question:

I know that I can use any of the monies that I received for my campaign account to donate to another campaign. Is there any way that I can be assured that donations received by the DSCC will not be funneled into a presidential campaign?

3. it is HIGHLY unlikely that the DSCC would fund any presidential races
And we REALLY REALLY need 60 Senate seats.

5. I'm pretty sure that's illegal, to switch it around like that.
But you might try calling the DSCC to check.

7. Don't give money to him. He'll just buy beer or pay taxes with it.
Only kidding. No, he won't. He'll buy Republicans with it.

9. personally I would send any contributions directly to the Senator I wish to support
Edited on Fri Apr-04-08 04:10 PM by still_one
I would not contribute to anything that has Carville's name on it

Not because the DSCC is bad, but to send a message that they are idiots to use such an ignoramus to pimp for them

I am only referring to Carville and his wife, NOT to any of the people he may support

I dispise the creep and do not want to give him any credibility

10. I feel that way too
Getting that piece of mail with his name so huge on the return address creeped me out. Why wasn't the return addy that of the committee?

11. Agree with earlier post -
best way to get it where YOU want it is to send it THERE yourself.

Otherwise, how will you know?

I don't think it can be transferred - but better safe than sorry if it's important to you.

So, how did your campaign go?

16. Top vote getter
in a field of four candidates. I'm a whimp though, on election eve I took my husband to a jazz club so I wouldn't get any phone calls. Of course the editor of the local paper called my husband on his cell and I got several calls from papers on mine for comment. Election night was one of the worst night of my life both times and I won both times too!
