Come and get your pro-McCain/Anti-Obama talking points... |
|
If your wondering where all the poutrage from the Clinton supporters is coming from... many Clinton supporters still read Taylor Marsh's blog... Marsh is just a wonderfully Democrat (constantly railing against the "progressive elites" ) This is one of the three places that give birth to the Obama hatred right here on DU... Many of the Clinton supporters that flame/make stuff up completely in GDP either go to marshes site, that competing website that has a forum called "DUmp", and Hillary is 44. These sites all of something in common... absurd talking points that bash Obama while building up McCain/Hillary. Point as listed:
Senator John McCain learned the lesson on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. very, very slowly. But forty years since King's assassination, Senator McCain came to where the greatest civil rights leader in American history died. It's on this long awaited moment that we can build. There's nothing to be built on the excuses Senator Obama offered for Rev. Wright, whose anti-American and hate filled speech keep us stuck in 1968.
no I won't post a link to this trash...
I am just wondering how few delegates have to be left undecided before the higher powers here just call this thing for Obama... it is pretty clear that Obama isn't going to lose the pledged delegates or popular vote... and we can all assume that the SD's aren't going to repeat 1968... so just how is this going to end? I suspect we will get to PR... and Hillary supporters will be saying "stop calling for her to get out... she can still win... all she has to do is win PR by 97% and convince only 30 other Pledged delegates to defect and forcibly seat FL AND get the supreme court to rule MI results as constitutional)

3. Tomorrow WA state meets again on district level, county level next week |
|
I will be there as a precinct level delegate, looking forward to see how the tone has changed since our caucus. I think we will be even more pro Obama. I will be shocked if any Clinton supporters bring up this kind of trash. I look for some HRC people to switch.

... need to do what they can to get Clinton's supporters to unite behind Obama. That's what will put the brakes on the kind of rhetoric you've cited. I don't think they can just "call it."

5. Interesting observations |
|
I tend to agree some of those sites can get very nasty in terms of the anti-Obama rhetoric that is talked about. My guess is those who are that much against Obama won't vote for him and are a lost cause. I wouldn't say that 100% of them, but maybe as high as 50% of those who frequent the sites mentioned. I'm sure there are some who will come around once the nomination is decided, but face it some of them are going to vote for McCain out of spite. It's sad, but true.

6. Regardless, the ole mare Hillary is soon to be put out to pasture. She'll be lucky to even retain |
|
her senate seat should a worthy candidate step forward to challenge her.
"The Clinton's" have shown their cards and the public, thankfully, hasn't the short-term memory that they hoped they had.
"Turn out the lights and snuff the candles"...the Clinton Era is over!
