I just gave my two year old grandson $250. |
|
Actually I invested it in his future. He might go out and blow it on toys and candy and what he really needs is a great president. I actually sent the money to Barack Obama’s campaign and I have no doubt that it is the best thing for little Zack. Hopefully we will survive the two-term train wreck that is hurtling toward an uncertain end. My two sons will never have it as good as I did and I saw some pretty bad times. Maybe they will forgive me if I can help elect the man who will restore the promise of America for their kids.

On further review... Why can't you people just let a positive thought ride? It's your god damned negative response to anything upbeat that has turned me from tolerant of Clinton to absolutely dreading the prospect of another phony president. You seem to take your cues from Mark Penn and James Carville. That's Karl Rove's cynical America in Democratic disguise. Excuse me while I add you to my list of irrelevant, lame duck DUers. Buh bye.

They want to saturate the air with so much negativity as to make people give up and stop caring.

That's a fact. They want food, clean diapers or panties depending on their potty training status, toys, hugs and kisses, attention on demand.

25. A two year old (if he's like most two year olds) probably won't get |
|
serious about political races for another 24 or 25 years. Reality is that he may vote when he turns 18 out of curiosity but most people don't get serious about looking deeper into politics and motives till they're much older. Giving his birthday or college money to Obama or any other politician for that matter is silly. My guess is that as long as you don't keep splitting the party by running off anyone that isn't an Obama supporter we WILL have someone (either Obama or Clinton) in the White House who is an improvement over Bush.

You actually disagree with what this grandfather did? How weird! What's wrong with it? He gave it in his grandson's name, good for him.
And for your information, my 13 year old daughter has been interested in politics since she was 8. She gave a speech to her entire elementary school for Dean during the primaries and then Kerry during the general election. She's accompanied me on voter registration drives, to campaign rallies, meetings, voting, you name it. She's a teenager now and extremely excited about the upcoming convention in Denver and wants to record the whole damn thing.
Stop making assumptions about kids, please.

Call me whatever you want. It doesn't matter and it won't make any difference to me. And then there's the little fact that I'm not big on conforming to what others think I should say and do.

Why don't campaigns have cards that donors can send to their family and friends indicating that a donation was made in heir honor or for their benefit? The campaign gets the money and a loved ones gets a very powerful message that someone cares enough to give the very best. Maybe it wouldn't replace blenders as wedding gifts, but it would be a thoughtful gift that might even inspire the recipient to donate too.
