6. We'll have to do better, did you see the number of Hillary supporters who won't vote for Obama?
It just boggles my mind that they wouldn't vote for a Democrat and they would vote for that pit sniffer instead. (Although maybe the number will be insignificant if we're talking 56% of 33% of NC Democrats polled).

"Perhaps the only disturbing news for Obama in the survey is that most Clinton voters (56%) say they are not likely to vote for the Illinois Senator in the general election against John McCain. A month ago, 45% of Clinton voters said they were not likely to vote for Obama against McCain."

I wonder why the number is different in the subject line in comparison to the numbers in the body?

7. We'll work on that after the primary. Have to win the nom first.
Who knows what the GE holds? All I know is we have to get through this hard-fought primary.
We can only do the best we can do for our chosen candidate. I'm doing that. :hi:

12. ALSO.......
THE 56% OF CLINTON SUPPORTERS IN N.C. WHO WONT VOTE FOR OBAMA IN THE G.E. DONT REALY MATTER BECAUSE WE'RE GONNA GO RED IN NOVEMBER ANYWAY. THIS IS A RACE FOR THE NOMINATION.

35. Our goal should be to turn NC blue in Nov: no more close elections!
Part of my reason for supporting Obama is that I believe he will do much better than Hillary in the South in November.

Go, OBAMA!!!

17. Damn I wasted a post on this

In North Carolina, Barack Obama has opened up a twenty-three percentage point lead over Hillary Clinton. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that Obama attracts 56% of the vote while Clinton earns 33%. A month ago, Obama’s lead was just seven percentage points.

While the absolute numbers are different, the trend is similar to results from Pennsylvania where Obama gained ten-points on Clinton during the month of March.

Perhaps the only disturbing news for Obama in the survey is that most Clinton voters (56%) say they are not likely to vote for the Illinois Senator in the general election against John McCain. A month ago, 45% of Clinton voters said they were not likely to vote for Obama against McCain.

There remains an enormous racial divide in the North Carolina data. Obama leads 86% to 9% among African-American voters. Clinton holds a 47% to 38% advantage among white voters in the Tar Heel State. A month ago, Obama led by fifty-three points among African-Americans while Clinton led by twenty points among White voters.

Obama is viewed favorably by 75% of the state’s Likely Primary Voters, up three points from a month ago. Clinton is viewed favorably by 66%, down four since early March.

24. The BEST news in this poll is that now Obama is only down by 9 points with white voters in NC!
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 11:33 AM by jenmito
A month ago he was down 20 points! The way Rasmussen words it is wrong IMO:

"There remains an enormous racial divide in the North Carolina data. Obama leads 86% to 9% among African-American voters. Clinton holds a 47% to 38% advantage among white voters in the Tar Heel State."

That's not an enormous racial divide. The only enormous racial divide is BLACK voters who prefer Obama 86% to 9%! That's TERRIBLE for Hillary-and much worse than a month ago when Obama "only" led among Black voters by 53 points! :bounce:
