Even though I support Obama, it's exciting to see there's a Hillary rally in my town today.

Hillsboro, OR. I saw a lot of people starting to gather at the open-air Hillsboro Stadium. I don't know when the rally starts, but at noon it looked like the stands were about a quarter full (it holds 7,000). Didn't see any long lines, but I was a few blocks away. I did see what appeared to be a large gaggle of supporters coming out of Starbucks, but I'm sure they were carrying just coffee, not lattes. ;-)

It's neat that she's here and I hope the weather cooperates (very low, dark cloud cover and heavy intermittent showers, temp about 50). Nice to see so many people involved in the process. I'm really not sure why she chose Hillsboro, when Portland (with larger venues) is only 15 minutes to the east.

Tomorrow she is speaking in Missoula for free, open to the public, but it's in a private aviation Co. hanger out at the airport, about 5 miles out of town.

It leads me to ask the same kind of questions you do.

8. Yeah, that's probably it. It does have great highway access, so easy

for Portland folks to get to. Not sure what the parking situation is. It's also pretty easy to see the crowd from the freeway so you get sort of a twofer out of it publicity-wise. Our Dem governor has endorsed her, so I'm sure he's there, also. I don't think there's much chance she's going to win the primary, however, even though it's not an open primary. Portland's the largest city by far and it's about as blue as they come. :)

6. Washington County is an interesting demographic mix

On the whole, it's the wealthiest area in Oregon- though there are also a sizable number of older, working class whites as well as a major Hispanic presence.

Probably a good choice- and it's nice to see the area getting some attention (for a change).

People here are just as deserving as as little town in Iowa and New Hampshire, though their votes rarely make a difference in the primaries.
