I have decided TO vote in Novmeber..for the Democratic nominee |
|
I will be hurt if Obama loses the nomination, but Hillary Clinton has a lot going for her too and in the end she and Obama don't have very many disagreements on substantive issues anyway.
The welfare of this country is FAR more important than my bruised ego if Obama loses the nomination.
There are millions of people who are not as lucky as I am in life, and they need a Democrat in the White House to make this country a better place.

I have the chance to vote for Obama in November - if not I'll have the chance to vote for HRC. No fucking way I'm staying home, no fucking way I'm voting for anyone else.

And also a suggestion that anyone who states that they will not vote Democratic be TS'd. If you don't vote you have absolution no right to complain in my opinion.

10. Obama won't lose now or in Nov |
|
no matter how hard the HRC people try to steal the nom or ruin Obama's chances in Nov.
It's absolutely disgusting how willing Dems are to tear down one of their own because their 'girl' can't do math.

11. I may not vote for Hillary in Mass if the race is looking like a blowout. |
|
Either Dem will win the state easily. However, if the race is even halfway close I'm biting the bullet and voting for her, no questions asked.

18. Please vote even if it looks like it'll be a blowout |

If too many people say "Ah, it's gonna be a blowout, my vote isn't needed", well, you know what can happen.
Edit to add: You don;t have to tell anybody you did it. :)

If you refuse to vote, then you are part of the problem. Since I've been able to vote in 1968 I've had two people I voted for win-Carter and Bill Clinton. That didn't stop me from trying anyhow. I can easlily think of many people I would rather vote for in November than either Obama or Clinton, but I WILL vote for the nominee rather than see McCain get it just because I had a hissy fit.

do I have to if it's nowhere near being in play?
I'm considering voting green, if we're (once again) solidly in the red column.

16. Unfortunately, there are far too many whose bruised egos are more important |
|
than the welfare of this country. I support Obama and he is not perfect, neither is Senator Clinton. I will vote for the nominee of the Democratic Party in November be it Obama or Clinton. We do need a Democrat in the White House and I will do what I can to contribute to that. I refuse to bite off my nose to spite my face. This election is too important.

19. Absolutely. I've seen a couple of posters say "If McCain wins, so be it" and that |
|
really pisses me off. To shrug one's shoulders and say "Oh well, if McCain wins so be it." is breathlessly irresponsible for many reasons. First and foremost because of the Supreme Court judges who are very elderly and will probably need replacement in the coming years. And secondly because of all the men and women who have died trying to get the right to vote. Anyone who cares about this country (or the planet) has the responsibility to try to make it better if they can. Sitting and home and pouting because the candidates aren't perfect (although either is FAR better than McCain) does nothing constructive whatsoever.

Yes, we will all be disappointed, in some cases devastated, if our favorite candidate fails to get the nomination. But for the good of the country, we all need to vote democratic no matter what.
