Fearless, gutsy pundits who take on Hillary |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 07:35 PM by gulliver
The media pundit pondered a next comment. Do I dare? Do I dare a negative word against Hillary Clinton? Should I stick my neck out all alone, and say what needs to be said, that Hillary is cold and unlikeable? Do I dare say she is corporate owned and a "Bush lite?" Do I have the nerve for that uncharted territory, that no man's land, that un-assailed, virgin mine field?
Much better, thought the pundit, to do the safe thing, to cower with the rest, to roll over and join the chorus of praise for Hillary. Pay my bills this time. Live to comment another day. Go with the flow, and compliment Hillary. Be like everybody else.
No, thought the pundit, raising steady hands to home position on the keyboard. I will say the brave, original thing this time! I will dare to attack Hillary on specious, hackneyed grounds. Let no one say I am afraid to fight Hillary Clinton! And I will do it without even the protection of logic, sourcing, humor, or talent. I am not like all the rest of the pundits. I dare to attack Hillary. Damn the torpedoes! Fill the wall with our pundit dead! I dare!

1. You may not be obscene on the public airwaves and if you're a |
|
celebrity for $$$, there is probably a morality clause in your contract.
So play by the rules or start your own game. You're just another pundit ... someone's paying for your speech, so who's prostituting now?
