Jeb Bush/Condi...Yeah THAT's the ticket!
Wow...here's the scenario...

McCain 'falls ill' or whatever...from the ashes rises the political Phoenix....Jeb. Media take: "Well, see, Tim/Tweety, you just can't write anyone's political obituary in the United States." Jeb Bush, whose political career seemed to be over (cf. McCain, Dick Nixon) has emerged as the candidate for President from the Grand Old Party. We Can all breathe a sigh of relief right...? Jeb can actually speak in sentences, is by all media accounts a 'successful' governor of a state which was rocked by hurricanes and the evil forces of the Recount of 2000. He's 'battle-tested' and not his brother. In fact that will be his under-the-radar battle cry: I'm not George W. so it'll be better, it really will.

Condi will negate the 'minority status' of the nominee from the "Democrat" (sic) Party. The Rethug take will be: Condi's not half-white iffy like the Dem, who is 'waffling on his heritage'. Condi's all black and PROUD OF IT. As the VP candidate, she'll get to how off her piano-playing skills like Nixon did, and be just a fashion plate for Ferragamo and other high-style clothes. Her resume will allow her to 'immediately assume the duties of the Presidency' should anything occur of an untoward nature.

As sarcastic as I'm trying to be...there is nothing which is impossible, given the record of the last 8-50 years, depending upon your perspective and date of birth.

1. Did you mean either could be VP, or are they assuming McCain will disappear before Nov.?

4. No....
let me backtrack...

I was making a 'joke' of sorts...once one has to explain a joke, it ain't so funny any more but here goes...

There are all these threads about how Condi want the VP...right? So the scenario, albeit fantastic in the fictional sense...is that McCain has to drop out leaving a vacuum...Jeb steps in with Condi before the Convention.

Ha. Ha. Ha. :sarcasm:

5. Great minds, and all that good stuff. I just posted something similar...
Someone mentioned Condi as VP. I can see them going thru the election, or darned close to the GE. We know they have learned how to operate the voting machines to their liking.

McCain becomes ill or incapacitated...royally...and Jeb is appointed to finish the race/election.

Keeps the incriminating documents safe, pardons available upon request and we're back to business as usual. If that doesn't work, there's always martial law.

6. No way
No ticket with a "Bush" on it would win, and they know it. If McCain changed his mind, it would probably go to Mitt Romney.
