I respected and appreciated the action's of Sen Obama and Sen McCain |
|
They both refused to endorse disrespectful discourse toward their opponent, by people speaking at their apperances.
Mc Cain slapped down that rightwing nut Bill Cunningham, when he spewed that vile venonom about Obama, at a McCain appearance. While I don't agree with McCain's views, I respected him for reputating the horrible words and trying to raise the discourse of campain politics.
By the same token I admire and respect Obama for doing the same thing with Schultz. Sure I agree with what Schultz said, but there is a time and a place to say it. An Obama rally is not the place.
Hopefully these two will set a better tone for the upcoming GE.

and a step in the right direction. A nice change of pace from georgie "I never saw an attack I didn't like" bush.

wouldn't it be nice to see a clean campaign? One that you didn't feel you'd been dragged through a war zone by the time it's over? We can only dream.

McCain laughed and said it was a good question.

Is it because Obama is a man?

7. I'm not sure what you're asking. |
|
My point is that McCain has NOT expressed disapproval of supporters who insult other candidates.

8. That's exactly what I am asking. |
|
Why is McCain expressing concern over Obama as opposed to other candidates?

The "bitch" question was earlier. Maybe he caught some flack for it.

You think it was appropriate for McCain to laugh, and then to say it was a good question?

18. Was he suppose to accuse the woman of being sexist? |
|
How would that have gone over with his audience? Truth be told, the question was good. It was how it was asked, that was bad.

11. He did chuckle at the woman asked that question |
|
but in his answer he stated that he respected Senator Clinton. So again that is better than what we have been seeing.

have been seeing? I think he wouldn't even dream of saying it was an excellent question if somebody asked about Obama in a derogatory term.

13. Yes, McSame does have my respect over this as well. |
|
I actually think he is pretty good at comedy punch lines and comedy in general - as a politician goes. With Letterman the other night he was pretty good. And the times I saw him on "The Daily Show", does tell me he has a good sense of humor. Too bad he is so war hungry though. Maybe Randi can take some pointers from him? :hi:

19. Not one action, but his selection of advisors might help define him |

this does not bode well for his taking the high road

17. In McCain and Obama, at least we'll have that to set the tone. |
|
Thank God you know who will not be part of the fall election.
McCain is an idiot, but even he has more class than what's her name.
