Funny Story Today: A Sign of the Times?
Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 03:36 PM by rhombus
Every two weeks or so, I stop by a local Chinese restaurant for a meal with the family.
Well, the restaurant owner is a big Clinton supporter -- She has several group pictures taken with Bill and Hillary Clinton. I mean REAL classy photo op style pictures with prominent Chinese folks in the background and all. She also had big Hillary signs in her restaurant. Talk about cheesy, but the Chinese food is superb and that good, so I really don't mind one bit!

When you enter the restaurant, the photos are so prominently displayed on the walls in the entrance lounge area that no question, the owner couldn't care less whether you liked Hillary Clinton or not. You could tell she was nonchalant about it. I don't think I've ever visited a restaurant that had so many political signs and photos like this one.

Well, times are a changin. Today, we stopped by the restaurant as we usually do. But guess what? The walls have been stripped CLEAN of any Clinton pictures or signs. I just chuckled in my head. I don't know what's up, but it struck me as something way off. The whole place looked different sans Hillary signs and photo ops.

It may be a sign of the times.
