A Gentle Reminder to Hillary and Obama Supporters. This is Democratic Underground. |
|
Not Obama Underground. Or Hillary Underground. I fought for this website for 6 years and it wasn't called Kerry Underground or Dean Underground or Clark Underground either. I call it as its original name, Democratic Underground, and I ask that you respect the board the way it is. Thank you.

1. Then everyone should treat it that way |
|
Because frankly --I've had it up to my eyeballs with the manner in which Hillary is treated on this website.

4. And I've had it up to my eyeballs with the way Hillary has run her campaign and... |
|
...insulted Obama supporters.
If you don't like Hillary being hated, go to the source and convince her to straighten up her act and abandon the Rove campaign playbook she has been following.

she hasn't done anything of the sort, unless you are buying into the media narrative --in which case, I can't help you.

14. it's more of a blogosphere narrative than an M$M one |
|
Are we supposed to believe that the blogosphere is just as uniformed and corrupt as the M$M?

16. See...this is exactly what is wrong with the board. Baseless attacks |
|
designed to divide. I have had it up to my eyeballs with people on this board attacking Clinton distorting her stances and making stuff up just to rant.

6. Thanks for the condescending insult when I asked a valid question... |
|
...What are you talking about? In what style or manner would you like us to post? What do you mean when it's not one candidate or another's?
Those statements mean nothing to me because, by my experience here, there are posts about both candidates, and in styles ranging from very diplomatic to more warrior-like, from uninformed nincompoop to near scholarly work.
There are more posts criticizing Clinton for what she's done wrong because she has, almost on a daily basis, lied about something, had a major scandal break, she insults Obama supporters, or acted in a divisive or unethical way. There are going to be more posts about Clinton because there are more breaking issues about her.
So, again, can you be specific about what you would like to see on the board?
Thanks.

19. Do you not see you were the one that came into this thread trying to push buttons? |
|
And you blame other people when they react to it? You aren't trying to make a point, you are trying to start a fight.

Things get nasty during the primary season as you have noticed. But that nastiness proves that DU isn't the echo chamber that some on the right like to call it.
Welcome to DU. :hi:

No matter what kind of entreaties ANY of us may make.
Once we do have a nominee, though, the mods can come in and hose the place down.

26. Oh, bullshit. I've had some jaw-droppingly vile shit said to me by Hillary supporters. |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 10:10 PM by impeachdubya
And I'm hardly some kind of crazed Obama partisan. Until a couple months ago, I was supporting Chris Dodd.
But just the other week I had a Hillary person tell me they hoped I got sick and didn't have any health insurance- not because I'm somehow opposed to universal coverage; actually, I support a SPHC system, which neither Obama OR Hillary supports-- but just because, I don't know, I had the nerve to argue a point with a different Hillary supporter.
So, in essence, I got the Michael Savage "I hope you die, pig" treatment.
So don't give me this flatulating garbage about how it's just the mean, nasty Obama people who have lowered the discourse here. I can name a more than a few DU Hillary-heads whose behavior was out of bounds even before this place was turned into GD: Primaries.
