What is it like going to a Michelle Obama rally? |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 04:42 PM by adoraz
Sorry, not positive if this is the correct section for this. I hope it is, but if its not, then sorry.
Today I went onto BarackObama.com and was very excited to find out Michelle was going to be 25 minutes away from my house on Tuesday!
I quickly got 5 tickets online for my family using different email addresses (RSVP form). It says doors open an hour early, and I am not positive if I am guaranteed a seat or not, but I do have tickets.
Should I get there an hour early to make sure I get a spot?
Are Michelle events generally sold out (for those who went) and are there normally a lot of people?
And finally, is there any chance we would get to shake her hand at the end? Or will she leave right after (she has no other campaign events Tuesday to my knowledge)?
Its not as good as seeing Barack of course, but shes in my town, tickets were easy to get, and its at a good time. I certainly can't complain. :)
Thanks for any help.

1. Not sure about the details |
|
shouldn't be sold out so I'd arrive 30 minutes before hand but the sooner the better positioned you'll be to shake hands and get to the front.
You'll love hearing Michelle though! Great speaker.

2. If you want to shake her hand, I'd say the earlier you go, the better. |
|
In order to get closer to the front. :)
Have no idea how her events compare, but we were there about 6 hours early for Barack, and were able to get right up front.

3. Michelle is phenomenal. Congrats on getting tickets. 2 hours early for good seats. |
|
She only shook hands with people on the stage at our event, but the setting wasn't conducive to a rope line.

4. She is as gifted as Barack if not better as a communicator... |

Hard to believe..but true. She is incredible. And I've never seen her in person.
He's called her "the closer."

She was simpply amazing.
Don't know what to say about the time.
I got there two hours ahead but OPRAH, Caroline K, and otheres were there.
GO!
It is well worth it just to see her.

6. The problem is because she has a brain, the right wing will treat her as an America hating witch |
|
They did the same with Hillary.
God forbid, you have an assertive working woman who speaks her mind.
Damn it, Michelle! Stick to smiling and waving! Don't you know America only likes stepford wives?
