Democrats have the perfect primary system until you add in superdelegates..
The media has pushed hard to make Iowa and NH defacto winner take all states but it didn't work this time.
I want to see the canidates meet the voters in every state. I think however superdelegates should have to go with the will of the voters in their home state even if the superdelegates aren't proportionally representative of the counry.

1. I respectfully disagree
- Iowa and New Hampshire should no longer be the first states to vote. Every election cycle, a new state or two should get the right to go first.

- Puerto Rico should not get 60+ delegates or however many they are allocated. Nothing against Puerto Rico, I'm just uncomfortable having, well, a non-state play such a potentially huge role in deciding the nominee.

- They should just get rid of superdelegates completely. No need for them.

3. I agree with all your points with one modification.
I don't think the primaries should lead off with just one or two states. The primaries should be held in larger "clumps", maybe regions or maybe 5 or 6 states from a single region and rotate it every cycle. The SDs are just a bad idea on many levels.

4. 4 Regional primaries
Each representing a unique demographic. South North East and West.

2. Mort Zuckerman loves Superdelegates
That's enough to make me dislike the concept.

The primary season is too long.
