1. John McCain is a very bitter nasty confused man.
And is full of hate.

The main thing is, that he knows the difference in his screwed up personality and it presents itself in his speeches.

2. I heard a few minutes of his speech a little bit ago
but kept getting distracted by all the thwonk! thwonk-thwonk! hammering on the podium he was making with his old balled up fist.
distracted me so much, I didn't really hear what he said.

3. You must be listening to Ed Schultz. He's going on about this right now.
McCain is a thug and a warmonger.

4. Yes, and this somehow made the rounds on the radio news
broadcasts this weekend. There were calls for Obama to denounce and reject the statements (because they were apparently made at an Obama event).

How can one argue that McCain is not a war monger? The guy actually promised more wars during a campaign speech.

14. Did he really say so?
I heard something about his campaign issuing a statement as to the inappropriateness or something along those lines, but nothing about Barack.

16. Obama may have had his campaign spokepeople lie
On Saturday, McCain called on Obama to condemn Schultz's words. The Democrat's campaign issued a statement saying that "John McCain is not a warmonger and should not be described as such. He's a supporter of a war that Senator Obama believes should have never been authorized and never been waged."

Sunday, McCain said the matter was settled by the Obama campaign's statement.

33. I meant lie about what Obama really feels to be the truth.
Normally a spokesperson is, by definition, speaking for someone. It is possible that Obama feels in his heart that McCain is a warmonger

but does not want that view to be publicized.

38. You are assuming facts not in evidence.
Specifically, assuming to know what Obama 'feels in his heart.'

Get bent.

30. Politicians tend to stay away from loaded words like that.
You won't hear Hillary call him that either. And if he did say that you'd be the first to jump on case for his lack of "unity" in his message. You are the one, after all, who thought him not talking to Uribe was a bad thing.

17. Obama campaign: "McCain is not a warmonger"
This was posted above but under a different post title:

But today, Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki came back with a clarification about McCain, veteran and former prisoner of war.
"John McCain is not a warmonger," she said, "and should not be described as such. He's a supporter of a war that Senator Obama believes should have never been authorized and never been waged."

31. He is a warmonger, but using that term would work against him I think.
He can still talk about all the things you say here without using the charged rhetoric that we like to use.

Whenever he's asked the question, he should avoid responding using the word and instead talk about McCain's insane war rhetoric.

27. How much stock does he own in "defense contractors"?
In the most literal sense of the word, a "warmonger" would be a person selling the materials of war - armaments and such. In a looser sense, it's anyone who seeks to benefit personally from war. Historically, many of those most opposed to wars have been former military who've served in combat. It's tough for a sane person who's actually served in combat to invite such things - except as a last resort.

They don't call McCain "reckless" for nothing. He's a loose cannon.
