If it becomes apparent that Hillary can't win... |
|
....will she still stay in in it--until the Convention?
Let's say that Obama wins PA by 1 or 2 points---and by that time several additional Super delegates have gone Obama's way.
Will she drop out then?
Or, let's say that Obama wins NC by double digits and then goes on to garner a narrow victory in Indiana--with the Super delegates continuing to fall his way.
Is Hillary's position---that she is going to the National Convention, no matter what?
Do her supporters agree with that strategy, if that is indeed her position?

1. It's already apparent........ |
|
...........and whether she drops out or not would depend on whether or not her donors will abondon her, I guess. Can't run a Campaign without money - and she already has problems there........

2. Whaddya mean "if"? To most sentient beings it's apparent now. |
|
An extremely improbable chain of events would have to occur for her to win the nomination.

9. If? The only reason this race exists is the media's desire to cover it. |

12. She's too far behind to win |
|
If it is even more apparent she can't win, I'm sure all the big guns in the democratic party will rain down on her before the convention!

13. Whichever would put her in a better position politically, I think. |
|
Once Obama passes the magic number, what's there to contest? With an insurmountable majority of delegates, super-delegates, and countable primary votes for Obama, I still don't see what she'd have to gain in a convention battle. All I can think of is that she'd angle for a VP or cabinet position, but it'd probably be better for that if she dropped out and endorsed him, too.
I'm guessing there's a lot of wheeling, dealing and note-passing going on behind the scenes.
