Can we find a V.P. candidate as likable as Cheney? |
|
It will be important that Kerry's choice satisfy the BBQ/have-a-beer-with test, compared to Dick. But is that possible?

Not a chance. When that bastard was made, they threw away the mold!
On second thought: how about that guy who is in "Day After Tomorrow"?

that would be a close one, I don't know if I'd rather have Cheney or a rabid mongoose at my BBQ.

...well, no. I am afraid we are out-of-luck. Clark looks way too handsome and sparkly to possibly be as fun as Tricky Dick II. Doesn't Dick's face just exude charm?

13. My DOG is more likeable than this idiot! |
|
He's not only more likeable, but smarter than Cheney too! He recognizes enemies instantly, and lets him know he just wont deal with him.
Having said that, Cheney is no help to Shrub. I hope he stays on the ticket for THAT reason!

Or shrub will look weak. Also, he would have to return Cheney's brain and put his own back in.

Most dogs are more likeable than most politicians. Or most people, for that matter.

17. maybe they will let Charlie Manson out? |

Dear God, I hope he doesn't go with Gebhardt. And Richardson of AZ looks a bit too much like Nixon. And Hillary is much to valuable in the Senate. And Howard Dean is just too useful as a free agent. And Kerry and Dean are both from the same section of the country.
All the rest of the Senators who might be choices are needed in the Senate.
All the rest of the Congressmen and Congresswomen are needed in the Congress.
Difficult choice for Kerry. He needs a "statesman" and a "good debater" who can take on Cheney in VP debates.
Not to mention someone more emotional, and less professorial.
A very special person is needed. I hope he can find that special person. I do wish Hillary were willing to give up her Senate seat, but I don't think that is likely.
Dean would overwhelm Kerry by sheer passionate speeches and power. Not a good idea as a VP, in addition to both being New Englanders.
Edwards might appeal to the southerners, as well as the lawyer's home team. Edwards is both emotional, charming and diplomatic. As a trial lawyer, would probably be pretty good at debating Cheney. Clark would give us two experienced military, plus a southerner, and Vilsak (sp)according to my observant friend, might be useful. Edwards has already given up his congressional seat, so it would be no loss.
John Breaux, from my birth state, I would love, but he is too valuable in the Senate. Same thing for Nancy Pelosi.
I just hope John Kerry is able to properly access his shortcomings and choose a VP to balance them out.
And YES, I KNOW. My posts are too long.
Sorry.
