Quit trying to get Hillary to Quit! |
|
Calm down and relax.
I'm for Obama! Yes, let's elect him!
But....let her run as long as she wants to!!! USE that "Hillary must leave!" energy for the Obama campaign. Use the energy constructively, not constrictively!
Have a nice day!

Calls for her to quit accomplish nothing and harden her supporters whose votes Obama will need in the fall. If people feel she is pushed out prematurely it will hurt Obama in the fall.
Let's put all of our energy into helping Obama defy the odds and win PA, in which case he will have legitimately knocked her out and the race will be over without most people feeling like she was pushed out unfairly.

2. I agree. She has every right to stay in UNTIL the last state/territory votes. If, after that, |
|
she still can't seal the deal with the superdelegates, then she SHOULD drop out. There is no way this should go to the convention in August.

5. If you had a crazy aunt that wanted to run out the front door..... |
|
.....completely naked into your crowded neighborhood, do you let her run if she wants to?
Or do you try to stop her to avoid embarrassing herself and your family's honor?

You really have little regard for the truth, don't you?

13. I agree and telling her to get out is counterproductive anyway. |
|
It has a negative impact on her supporters.
If the media wants to ask her everyday if she is quiting she will have to respond to it.

16. full on Vichy Democrats are what KEEP the Party small |
|
I think it's time for another Southern style exodus...
there are as many non-voters out there as there are republicans and democrats combined
that's not apathy so much as the conviction that they're all crooks in DC
give them something to hope for

17. If she goes until August, unity for the GE will be nearly impossible to get... |
|
She is unable to pay her bills, and leaving vendors unpaid. She is using up resources (voter energy, especially) that--if you really want to win in November--can be used to win the GE.
But mostly her negativity and insults to the Obama supporters, and lies about Obama, have to stop. She is wallowing in the pig slop now, and it is damaging the Democratic Party.

19. Since I seriously doubt that Hillary reads DU |
|
encouraging her to quit seems like a lot of wasted time and energy. The only thing that all the hatred in GD-P has shown me is that I don't want to be associated with either camp. Constant attacks on the other guy and his/ her supporters (and I'm talking about attacks from SUPPORTERS of both BHO and HRC) isn't the best way to promote your own candidate; but it is a great way to alienate the undecided.

20. No. Hillary should quit. |
|
She has no realistic chance of winning. What other candidate with no chance of winning is told "stay in the race and continue attacking the eventual nominee"? NO other candidate. Simply because some of Clinton's supporters will be "upset" about calls for her to step aside, big friggin deal. These are the same hard-core supporters who will not support Obama even after Clinton has dropped out, there is no need to placate them any further by not accepting the clear math of the situation.
The only reason for her to stay in the race is to hurt the Democratic Party's nominee chances and increase her own chances in 2012.
Obama needs to get on with battling the Republicans. Clinton will not allow that yet for her own selfish reasons. I refuse to placate the egoists who support this position, and no Democrat should be asked to, either.

IMO Hillary is finished. She ran on her experience, but now most Americans now realize that her real experience is being Bill's wife. She was the first lady of Arkansas, and the first lady of the White House. She probably knows the location of all the bathrooms in the White House, but being first lady doesn't qualify Hillary to run the country. My dad worked for the US postal Service for 35 years, ....does that qualify my mother to run a Post Office?
The cornerstone of Hillary's platform has been health care. But in 1992 when Bill was elected president, Hillary tried to get health care for all Americans. She failed miserably. The "fighter" gave up and for the next six years of Bill's presidency, we didn't hear "peep" about healh care. What would be different now?
Hillary has shown she has a great imagination and is out of touch with reality with her Bosnian adventure story of snipers and danger.
Obama has a vision for America. His platform is to provide leadership to the American people so we all pull together in the same direction to solve America's problems.

On the other hand, the nicer we are to her, the less "victim" power she has and that has been her biggest strength lately.
Obama will kill her with kindness...he is very crafty that way.
