Anyone else suspect, as I do, that Penn engineered the whole Colombia controversy as an excuse
for his own exit? I mean, he can see the writing on the wall finance-wise with Hillary's campaign (she only pulled in about $7M in funds usable in the Primary last month) and maybe he figures he's milked her for all she's worth. He would like to get out before she finally flames out entirely also, then he can claim it wasn't his fault.

Watcha think?

1. You give him far too much credit
No need to look any further than ego, hubris and greed.

2. No, because he hasn't really exited.
He's still part of the campaign.

3. Nah...he could have faked a medical emergency or something
He could afford to check himself into hospital for unspecified 'tests' and step back quietly. Frankly, I don't think he has the character to set himself up as a fall guy and take one for the team in ublic like he has had to do (amd may do again).

6. No, but it would have been a good excuse for him to be truly booted off--
This is one more example of something that just cannot be spun positively for HRC:

either she didn't know (but should have)
or she did and has been hypocritical about her position on trade

I hear the teamsters, in particular, are campaigning vigorously for Obama in PA.
