Hillary/is/an/accomplished/person/in/her/own/right/and/the/crap/about

OK my space bar crapped out on me,but this is important.

I hope some will bear with me and read this.

There's a thread here stating that Hillary has set women's issues back 40 years.

What utter bullshit.

She's moved womens issues forward.

She's the first credible woman candidate for President. The next woman who
runs will be deeply indebted to her.

It's impossible to sever Hillary's career from bill's,but it's also
impossible to sever his political successs from her.

Hillary is an accomplished person in her own right and the crap about
how she's only where she is because of bill's coattails is sexist
nonsense.

What has she accomplished?

She's placed issues regarding women children and healthcare in a place of prominence.

I can't keep typing like this,it's too annoying but

Hillary has damned well been a pioneer and a leader

3. I/agree.
She has taken it to the next level. I hope to see women run in every Presidential election, and I hope I get to vote for a woman in the future. I don't think she set the cause back at all, she move it forward.

4. Thank/you/for/your/post
:p
I agree with that. I think Hillary has always been an ambitious politicians, and she was the driving force behind Bill. She would have made it where she is now with or without him. I actually think she would have probably been better off without him.

HOWEVER, she did enforce some negative stereotyping in her campaign run. She did a piss poor job showing her leadership skills for instance.

5. Thank you for defending
our fellow Democrat. She is not perfect. But she has done much we should be proud of. She is a United States Senator. She is a woman. She and Bill have been a great team. But I believe that her success is not merely because she is married to him. She is very strong and intelligent and I admire her, as should all women. It is not an easy task to get where she is today. We should be proud of both our candidates. I am proud of them both and I will gladly vote for either of them in the fall.

7. I do not think Hillary has done much to move women's issues forward
Edited on Tue Apr-08-08 06:22 AM by TheDonkey
Yes, she is the first credible woman candidate for President but it DOES hurt that she was former first lady and is using her husband to play off of. It is not a shock that she tried coming into this election as an incumbent (of Bill's presidency). As of now it feels like she is doing more for nepotism than women's rights and I think many others feel that way too. It's unfortunate that Bill weighs her down and that 8 years of experience in the WH is not a positive like her campaign previously thought.

I feel bad because she should have probably run for president in 1992.
