Follow the Money: DoJ Exhibit: Rezko's "dirty money" list (Updated 2x)
Coincidence is defined as "the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection." The federal fraud trial of indicted political fixer Antoin "Tony" Rezko appears to be fraught with coincidences.
One interesting coincidence, for example, is the U.S. Department of Justice exhibit entitled Rezko Donation Chart June 2001 to August 2004. The ten-page document lists $1,437,350.00 total donations in descending order from a single high donation of $100,000.00 to a few minimum donations of $100.00, each followed by a date. The donors are listed by individual name and employer or just by company name.
UPDATE: This chart has now been identified as a Prosecution exhibit: FBI analysis of Rezko fundraising for Blagojevich 2001-2004. Previously, the identity of recipient was unknown. However, given the reputation of Rezko as Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)'s campaign fundraising "fairy", it leads to the obvious question whether any of these particular contributions reached Sen. Obama's political campaign coffers. Testimony from Rezko's trial in the following weeks should make the significance of this prosecution exhibit clear.
What is known, however, is that, on October 12, 2006, ABC 7 News Chicago reported that "in the last decade, Rezko has donated to campaigns under at least five different personal or corporate names, including Antoin Rezko; Tony Rezko; Rezmar, the name of his real estate firm; Chicago Property Management and Chicago Construction Services; and Rezko Foods and Rezko Concessions, the names of his restaurant-related companies." Recipients of Rezko political campaign money included
Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn, Secretary Of State Jesse White, House Speaker Mike Madigan, and Senate President Emil Jones ... The records also list more than a dozen Chicago City Council members, including Alderman Todd Stroger, the democratic candidate for Cook County board president. ... Some other names on the Rezko list includes U.S. Senator Barack Obama, U.S. Congressmen Jackson, Kirk, Guiterrez, and Rush. Mayor Richard M. Daley also has Rezko money in his campaign war chest.
What is also known is that many of the names on Rezko's donation list for June 2001 to August 2004—Rezko employees, business associates, contractors, and others involved one way or another with Rezko and/or in the Rezko trial—can also be found among those whose contributions Sen. Obama reportedly donated to charities in 2007 and 2008.
These names and the accompanying donation amounts are according to the Rezko list (Italicized amounts explained below.)
Tony Rezko (06/21/02 - $5,000.00) (also as Chicago Construction Services, LLC - 06/26/01 - $5,000.00), Fortunee Massuda (06/28/01 - $5,000.00; 07/25/03 - $25,000.00), Robert Wislow (07/25/03 - $25,000.00), Michel Malek (07/25/03 - $25,000.00), Ali Ata (07/25/03 - $25,000.00), Mike Cherry (06/18/04 - $25,000.00), Elie Maloof (02/17/02 - $10,000.00), A. Chaib (02/17/02 - $10,000.00), Christopher Cacciatore (06/30/02 - $5,000.00; 07/22/03 - $10,000.00 and $10,000.00), Guy Chipparoni (06/14/04 - $1,000.00; 06/21/04 - $10,000.00), Joseph Cari (06/18/04 - $5,000.00; 06/21/04 - $10,000.00), Gary Poter (Poter Construction; Poter, who was stabbed to death by an employee in May 2006, owned the construction company that rehabilitated all of Rezmar Corp.'s buildings) (06/28/01 - $5,000.00); Velma Butler (Alliance Health Services Inc. and Velma Butler & Company Ltd.) (07/25/03 - $2,500.00 and $2,500.00; 06/24/04 - $2,000.00); M.A. Dabbouseh (07/15/04 - $2,000.00); Michael and Hollie Rumman (Rezmar Corp.) (06/30/02 - $1,000.00).
The following are funds contributed for this time period to Obama either under the name of Rita Rezko or Aboud Rezko, Tony Rezko's wife and son, or under Rezko Foods, as compiled by Chicago Public Radio WBEZ: 12/31/02 - $4,500.00 total and 03/31/03 - $1,500.00 total. The WBEZ lists show Rezko's political donation history 1993 to 2006 for a total of $379,183.58. This may or may not reflect a redistribution of funds on the above cited "Rezko list".More information about the contributions divested by Sen. Obama can be found here, here, here, here, and here.

http://rezkowatch.blogspot.com/2008/03/follow-money-doj-exhibit-rezkos-dirty.htmlThe following names found on Rezko's list for contributions between $100,000.00 and $5,000.00 have been cross referenced with names and/or companies that appear in Federal Election Commission records as campaign contributors for Sen. Obama. Those who contributed less than $5,000.00 have not been included.National Material L.P.: Rezko list: 06/21/04 -$100,000.00. Obama: FEC records 08/12/07 show Michael Tang of National Material contributed $2,300.00 to Obama for America, and Obama's third quarterly report for 2007 shows an additional $2,300.00 donated by National Material L.P.

Daley appointed Michelle to serve on the Chicago Landmark Commission. The current chairman of the Commission is Daley's former chief of staff, David Mosena.
Mosena was a member of Obama's US Senate Finance Committee in 2004, with other members that included Valerie Jarrett, Tony Rezko, Rita Rezko, and Allison Davis. The committee raised more than $14 million, according to Federal Election Commission records, cited by Novak in the Sun-Times on April 23, 2007. Jarrett serves as an advisor to Obama's presidential campaign.
