Clinton Picks Up Male Vote in PA Poll

Quote:
The poll concluded that the results were nearly identical to one of its polls released a month ago, stalling the momentum Obama picked up at the end of March.

Women and white voters barely budged and continued to support Clinton at more than 60 percent, as they have in the previous two Survey USA polls.
However, a change in men's support has negatively affected Obama.

Last week, Obama moved within 12 percentage points of Clinton, but men who flirted with the notion of voting for Obama at the end of March appear to be moving their support back to Clinton.

The poll suggests that men make up 42 percent of likely voters.
Obama also lost ground among voters between 35 and 49, down 18 points, while Clinton continued to lead among voters 50 and older.

In the Southeast section of the state, which includes Philadelphia and makes up 42 percent of likely Democratic voters, Clinton had a good week, polling above 50 percent for the first time.

10. I'm only trusting SUSA
And they've consistently shown Clinton with a wide 10+ point margin in PA. I have absolutely no doubt that she'll win PA. I personally think it will be her last "meaningful" victory, but she'll definitely win, so enjoy!

12. Except Texas, where it picked Obama.
It's been right. Sometimes. Just like all polls.

6. Which poll at that site is correct??
There are two poll stories on the politics page

http://www.nbc10.com/politics/index.html

One says that he is losing the support of men and then right under that is the story of Obama surging in the polls

9. And Quinnipiac is showing men moving to Obama
In this latest survey, one of the biggest shifts is among women who went from 54 to 37 percent for Sen. Clinton April 2 to 54 to 41 percent for her today.

Other groups show:

• White voters for Sen. Clinton, 56 to 38 percent, down from 59 to 34 percent last week.

• Black voters back Sen. Obama, 75 to 17 percent, compared to 73 to 11 percent in the last poll.

• Men favor Sen. Obama, 48 to 44 percent, compared to a 46-46 tie last week.

• Voters younger than 45 go with Sen. Obama, 55 to 40 percent, while older voters back Sen. Clinton, 55 to 38 percent.

11. Also from your link:
"Two weeks out, Clinton remains in front with 50 percent, but her margin continues to shrink in this survey -- from 9 percentage points a week ago and 12 percentage points in mid-March."
