Check in and shut up the fake outrage: Obama Supporters AGAINST Calling Hillary a Bitch! |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-08-08 04:38 PM by Kerry2008
I would never do that.
I respect and admire her.
And she's a Democrat!!
So if you agree that it's not ok to call her a bitch, let the Hillary supporters who are pushing the lie that we Obama supporters call a bitch know you don't like that kind of language and you want this race to be more civil and about the issues and differences between the candidates.
So give me a GOBAMA! if you agree...

This would have been a healing thread, if you would not have made fun of the men and women here who truly are opposed to such language.
Why offer a "unity" thread and then only divide us further by making fun of those of us who have wished to discuss this?

Don't say it doesn't happen. That is simply your meme for the day. How many times are you going to post this crap about fake outrage?

And the Obama supporters are usually the ones who post multiple threads on any supposed insult and drive a topic into the ground.
I did not see the cult accusation here, or know about it until I saw about twenty threads by Obama supporters whining over their mistreatment. Many Obama supporters are still beating the Wright "controversy" to death.
I guess you must have new marching orders about not calling Clinton a bitch.
This thread would have been all right if you could have kept the words "shut up" out of it.

a couple of teeny-boppers get over zealous and run their mouths... I don't even recall seeing it here at all.
they're in no position to whine... I have never seen a top post questioning Clinton's ability to win based upon her gender...
plenty of racially tinged and some outright racist stuff... plenty of fake scandalmongering
some on both sides
not saying there's none... just sayin'
sorry, can't sign up for it
Bill Clinton is a crooked son-of-a-bitch and I've been saying it for nearly two decades....
and I campaigned vigorously for him TWICE
if they're gonna go because of some dumb stuff they read in a thread... they were never with us to begin with... let them go...
I ain't holdin' their damn hands... and giving them big wet poor baby kisses.

Your post would have been a good one except for this "Check in and shut up the fake outrage" which really just makes your thread flamebait.
My outrage at the treatment of women here or abroad is never "faux". I would react in exactly the same manner if this were said about Michelle Obama or even Condi Rice. I can easily state my reasons for disliking a female without having to resort to demeaning and humiliating words used to oppress women.
Plenty of Obama supporters disagree with this sort of language used towards women. Are they being "faux" also?

22. She is what she is, and needs to be called on it.... |
|
...Our country is tanking partly because the Dems in Congress would not go to bat for the measures that would help their constituents, and instead voted with the neocons.
If we expect our elected politicians to be willing to call something what it really is and not just mealie-mouth the truth, we need to be willing to do it ourselves.
Besides, Hillary Clinton knows that many Democrats are meek and won't call her on her bullshit, including being a bitch and a corporate whore. You are giving her license to do it if you don't call her on it.

29. I don't call anybody by that slur - I believe the word is offensive to many women, and I respect |
|
their wishes that it should not be used as a noun.
That said, all this outrage about its use by the HRC boosters is as phony as the day is long. And you're not going to find me - or any other grown-up - wandering around DU calling people out on their use of it. The HRC boosters have run out of hope for their candidate's campaign, so now they're making up things to get nasty about.

but didn't Skinner put an end to that term before the new year? No I'm tired of fighting and making enemies with my fellow democrats here-the time for unity is now. It's dems vs repubs-either Obama or Clinton will be better than McCain. They both showed that today at the Petreaus (however you spell his name) hearings.

These posts are getting tiring - Clinton supporters using it to 'show' how others keep using it to describe Clinton. Obama supporters using it to 'show' that they won't use it to describe Clinton.
Maybe we all could stop using it.
