One of the most heartening things is to see how people react
when Obama says that young people will not get the $4000 education credit "for free" but will have to give back through community service. It reminds me of comments that people have made about the war and the fact that no one except the families of the soldiers have been asked to do anything (except shop).

That says something about the heart of America, just under the surface of our cynicism.

So have a good day, everyone, no matter which candidate you support!!

1. I think it is a great idea. Earning their way will give them a big boost early on.
I don't see all that many dropping out when they have to work in the community for those funds.
