Elizabeth Edwards on Olberman tonight. Interesting!
MSNBC has been touting that Elizabeth Edwards will be a guest on
"Countdown" tonight, with Olberman.

I find this very interesting that the Edwards' would appear on
this show. Olberman has openly spoken out against Clinton, and
does so every night. He rarely says anything positive about her.

The teasers for the show are about the Edwards' endorsing and if
we'll ever hear them endorse.

I'm not saying that Elizabeth Edwards is going to endorse anyone.

My opinion is that they're going to stay out of it. However, I
do think their choice of Olberman's show is revealing. They could
have appeared anywhere, but they selected a show and a show host
that is consistently pro-Obama and very anti-Clinton.

Thoughts?

1. she has just taken a job as an expert on health care at a think tank
heard her yesterday on NPR. She will stay away from any endorsement but will talk about the need to make health care universal.

2. Maybe she's just doing a general...
...media tour, and hitting various venues.

4. I said the choice of venue was interesting...
...I don't recall being paranoid about anything

5. Well, I think your description of Olberman is pretty accurate, if not overly kind.
But I think Edwards will endorse Clinton the week before the NC primary.

11. I have seen that mentioned before. NC doesn't
like Edwards much anymore. Do you know why? I am really surprised if that is the case. I think John Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth are genuinely good people, and though he wasn't my first choice I think he would make a good president.

9. She 'endorsed' Hillary healthcare plan over Obama's on ABC today...
So I would be concerned about who she is going to endorse if she does in fact endorse on KO. Her comment this morning certainly sounded like a Hillary endorse to me. She always did do John's dirty work for him during the campaign.

13. Elizabeth Edwards should have endorsed the BEST health care plan: Kucinich
Now, saying HRC's health care plan is "best" rings hollow.

I'm not at all surprised that he's having her on his show.

21. Keith and Elizabeth are quite friendly and mutually respectful toward each other.
I would like to see more of that here.

If Elizabeth says she prefers Clinton's health care plan, that is fine by me, and likely fine by Keith.
If she endorsed Hillary, whether John does or not, that is fine by me, and likely fine by Keith. Elizabeth has made her opinions known before that were different than John's, and as she is more progressive on some issues, I agree with her more than I did with John.

In the larger world beyond GDP, we can like each other and respect one another, regardless of most of the petty goings on here that have each other always gaming for advantage. This is not aimed specifically at the OP, of course, but to us all here.

The only thing I may disagree with in the OP is that Keith is "very anti-Clinton" - he defended her many times over the years, and recently tore into Dick Morris for some of his innuendos about her. I disagree that he says bad things about her "every night" - sometimes it is only the guests, and sometimes it is bad news that is hard to spin as good news. That does not mean he is "speaking out against" her.

He was painfully reluctant to slam her in his "special comment", and that was only because of the scorched earth dissing of a fellow dem in comparison to a republican. That is an opinion that I agree with, as I believe she is better served by touting her positives rather than trying to put Obama BELOW McCain.

Anyway, my thoughts. Not worth much, really. ;)
