Obama Supporters,
If John Edwards announced support for Hillary Clinton, would you switch your support to Clinton?

Clinton Supporters,
If John Edwards announced support for Barack Obama, would you switch your support to Obama?

My preference of Obama over Clinton is almost as strong as my preference for Edwards was over Clinton.

4. I love John Edwards, but I have made my own decision and it will only change when
if a fact or reason other than a personality or other politician comes into play.

I would feel immensely validated, however, if he did endorse Hillary.

I think there was pretty much a consensus here among most of Edwards' supporters that whoever he endorsed, we'd make our own minds up.

I briefly considered just going with whoever he suggested... but naaaaaaaaaaaah. :hi:

20. No, and...
if Edwards - who ran his campaign on the basis of fighting for the poor - endorses Clinton (who voted AGAINST the interests of the poor by voting for the 2005 Bankruptcy bill), I will have lost a LOT of respect for the man.

23. Clinton actually voted to filibuster the bankruptcy bill in 2005 - to stop it
This was the only chance the Democrats had - and it failed. She did not vote for the bill. In 2001, BOTH Clinton and Edwards voted for a comparable bill.

25. I would hear him out and give honest consideration to what he said.
If he could:

1) address his own previous criticisms of Clinton and the statement that he and Obama are the candidates for change...
2) explain how he could get past her big PAC and corporate donations after being so anti-corporate
3) explain why her numerous conflicts of interest (i.e. Columbia trade deal) don't concern him
4) explain why the lying and the nastiness of her campaign shouldn't be a factor in my decision
5) explain exactly why Barack is a BAD idea

If he could do all these things in a COMPELLING WAY... I honestly would consider it.

I just wish he would come out with an endorsement one way or the other. Not because I need him to tell me how to think. Not because I'm desperately hoping he picks my guy. But just because I respect his opinion and judgment a great deal and I would like to hear what he has to say about it. It may effect my opinion, it may not.

And even if he endorses Hillary and I stick with Barack, I'll still love the guy. I'm not one for calling people traitors.

Endorsements may move undecideds. I doubt they have much effect on decided voters.

I really don't care -- and wouldn't have cared earlier in the process -- who John Edwards supports, much like I didn't care when Kerry endorsed Obama, even though I was a huge Kerry supporter in 2004. I'm not too enthralled with either of these candidates, and I can think for myself, thank you.

...frankly gawd himself and the Seven Dwarfs could come down from heaven and announce they are supporting Hillary and I would not give a damn.

So, not only no, but HELL NO ~~ it would not change my support from Obama to Clinton if Edwards endorsed her.

32. Absolutely not.
I admire Edwards but who he endorses (if he does) doesn't have a bearing
on who I support (Obama). If he endorses HRC, I'll be a little disappointed
but I won't switch over to supporting her.
