Let's make the SUSA poll the one that all the media is talking about. Let's concede, publicly, that Hillary is going to win PA by 18 points. Let's make that the baseline.


When she wins by less than 10.... that's a "win" for Obama in all the post primary media narratives. If she wins by less than 5, the calls for her to exit the campaign will become deafening. She'll lose her "comeback kid" narrative.

5. I really don't know how much influence DU would have over media poll coverage

The media tends to report SurveyUSA polls as somewhat second class, despite the fact that they have generally been more accurate than other polls. Lately they have focused on their "poll of polls", which despite its silly name is really just an average like the RCP numbers or the pollster trend numbers. Unless some other polls start reflecting things more closely to what the SUSA poll showed, the media is going to be setting the expectations fairly high for Obama in PA.

It used to crack me up when Hillary supporters did that ad nauseum last fall- and it's just as funny (actually just as pathetic) to see it now, albeit in a slightly different form.

Next thing you know, Du'ers will be up in arms about a poll "showing" that 20% of Americans believe the sun revolves arounf the earth- or that 75% believe angels are watching them.
