How can you tell this primary season has gone on far too long?
Edited on Wed Apr-09-08 04:39 PM by cali
Bookbags. Bookbags for the love of reason. Sheesh. Was there ever a
dumber thing to nitpick over? Whatever else they fix, they damn well
better make sure that never again will there be a 7 week gap between
contests. There's just too much time for stupid.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm so sick of primary season I
could :puke:

2. I demand that you apologize about the Book Bag fiasco!
Fer fuck's sake. People are fighting about book bags.

Dear Supporters of Sen. Clinton - I ain't apologizing for shit, because this was a stupid thing to bring up in the first place.

Dear Obama Supporter who tried to make this an issue - That was the lamest attempt at deriding a candidate that I've ever seen.

So... we're done, then?

17. Just wait. It'll get dumber.
50/50 on which side is going to start it, but by the prickling of my thumbs, something stupid this way comes.

She made such a big deal of Obama's "words", and yet hers tend to be the least trustworthy...and relate directly to policies she espouses..

9. Right - the issue isn't whether there were "bookbags"...
It's whether anything was actually hurled. And I can no longer just take her at her word.

from all over the world for years, and I have them in a beautiful display case. Well, last night I dreamed I removed the elephants and began collecting DU tombstones and put them on display.

True story. Yeah, it's been a long contentious primary alright.:wow:

You seem to always attack and nitpick what Obama supporters say.

Hillary supporters were nitpicking over Obama calling some woman "sweetie."

26. You are kidding right?
Cali is one of the most ardent Obama supporters on this board. The thing you don't like is that she is not a Clinton hater and calls some Obama supporters out for their outright stupidity.

You present an example of what I see all over this board - if you dare to question anything the Obama supporters say or do, you must be a traitor of some sort.

I respect her. Some other supporters on this board, not so much.

 They can't handled the truth!!

And I don't call folks names or use those stupid names to refer to the candidates either.

The facts, just the facts folks. :freak:

There are still lots of people who brag about not having anybody on ignore. I am not one of them. Ironically, one of my ignores was one of only 3 people to respond to one of my recent threads. So what did I do? I switched to Firefox and read his reply anyway. I'm bad at ignoring.

I am relatively polite, I don't curse, I hate using the silly names for the candidates or their supporters, I try to be factual, maybe hard headed and abrassive, but factual and honest --- and I do bathe.

All I can figure is they have me on ignore.

35. Never? And sometimes that's not a bad thing.
I find that something like 50% of my responses involve some DUer telling me what an idiot/a$$hole I am.

I never know when I should respond or not. Sometimes I let it drop after a little back and forth and hope the other person does not feel snubbed, and sometimes if the post is too "old" people might not check their "my posts" beyond their last ten posts, especially if they are getting lots of replies. I check if people have me on ignore by trying to PM them. If I don't get "this person does not wish to receive PMs" then they probably don't have me on ignore. Although I certainly know what it feels like to think most of DU has me on ignore.

14. How do you know?
When people start bitching about who has the rights to use HOPE in their campaign rhetoric

When people speculate whether or not Obama turned down any lucrative offers after law school (I mean REALLY, who CARES?) :wtf:

When it seems like having a wall of shame is a GOOD idea to make the zealots on BOTH sides SHUT UP

32. You look at the ebbs and flows of the primary season
and the buildup to Iowa, Iowa results, New Hampshire, South Carolina... on down to the more recent contests... yeah, there was stupid stuff in there, but there were ACTUAL ISSUES at play... REAL things to discuss...

When it gets down to who loves MLK more... come on, that's just silly.

I thought Iowa and NH were going to determine the entire thing again! I was so angry! I wanted every state to get a chance to have their say... well... that has certainly happened but for some reason I feel extremely irritated. :spank:

This spread between primaries ia taking its toll on everyone - no matter which side of the fence you are on. We nitpick at the most inane things, are rude to each other, call each other names. I do wish the primaries would end and we could have a nominee. Then, we could fight the Republicans and not fight with each other. :banghead:
