...he hasn't the balls! As much as I ADORE Sen. Clinton, she is polarizing.

10. Please not Clinton yet |

Every right-winger in the country would raise all hell. It would be fun to watch, but 4 more years of Dubya is just too much, and I'd give him over 50% odds with Clinton.
Although I suppose that she's better than (shudder) Gephardt. Though Kerry/Clinton might lose, it would be far better for the country than Kerry/Gephardt, which probably would lose. Considering that Kerry/anybody should be able to win, that says something.
And I like Vilsack for the job. He's done a fine job in Iowa, and the media will fawn over him.

Nothing personal against the guy, but it just seems like we have several other choices that are dramatically better.
I don't understand why he's on Kerry's short-list.

8. Perhaps he's there as a decoy |

It doesn't seem unreasonable in light of the Kerry team's decision to neither quash nor encourage the McCain buzz.

Lots of times people on the short list are never seriously being considered, but are just there as kind of a courtesy, and usually to court their constituency without actually putting them on a ticket. Like a candidate might put a very liberal politician on the short list as a way of winking at that person's supporters without making them part of the administration.
