2 More Endorsements for Obama!
Roberts and Kitzhaber come out for Obama

"The Barack Obama campaign scored a couple big Democratic endorsements this morning when it announced that former Oregon Govs. John Kitzhaber (1995-2003) and Barbara Roberts (1991-95) are backing the Illinois senator for the party’s presidential nomination."

"The move is being hailed by the Obama camp as “a sign that momentum is building” in Oregon for their guy. It’s interesting because both former guvs have reason to side with Hillary Clinton. That reason is the Oregon Health Plan. Kitzhaber conceived it as president of the Oregon Senate and Roberts as governor pushed for the Bill Clinton administration to grant waivers so it could be enacted."

7. Kitzhaber is a medical doctor as well as former guv. He is one smart cookie and
health care has been his signature issue. He was a volunteer crossing guard at a private school one of my kids used to attend and I took the opportunity one morning to personally thank him for his hard work as OR governor, especially in the face of Republican majorities. It's just seems so rare that you get someone involved in politics who actually has a scientific background.

I wish he would run against Gordon Smith this year and put OR out of its misery with that a**hole.
