If Kerry were to announce his VP choice early next week...
would that effectively end the Reagan mediafest?

1. No IMO

I think next week should be devoted to the outcome of all the deep shit topics that the BushCO should be involved in- it should be a fun week.

3. I don't think it would matter...
...alot of stuff is disappearing into the black hole of the Reagasm... Kerry is right to just let it run it's course. He could also run the risk of appearing to shout "hey, hey! lookit ME! Over HERE!" the kind of thing much more suited to the Bushboy.

5. Who knows?
However, if the memo about the Preznit getting out of the Geneva Conventions to cause havoc in the world becomes the headline next week, let that story carry the news. It would be a mistake to announce next week if there is a bad Bush story hogging the media. Let Bush's mistakes take the headlines for now...

BUT, if the story continues to be Reagan, and Reagan worship, then the campaign should do something to shift the headline. Whether that is announcing a VP or not, I don't know, but we do need a story.

Medals.

Tear in my eye as it reminds me of my father (though with much fewer hardware).

8. no, they would waste time explaning it had nothing to do with Reagan
if announced early. especially since he said he would notmake the announcement until july right before reagan died. so he would not get the positive coverage and bounce that usually comes with the vp announcement. and it would give the right wing more time to attack the vp candidate also.

11. Kerry is smart. He's not going to do it. He doesn't want to peak too soon.
Go Kerry!
