I absolutely guarantee the GOP will find and exploit unfavorable images of Obama. There's one with tired eyes and a cigarette dangling from his mouth. That was posted here a few days ago and it's dreadful.

Also, you've got to be kidding he looked good while bowling. It would have been far preferable if he bowled 0 but threw the damn thing with conviction. Instead he embraced a dainty style. That too will be featured in GOP ads, at least briefly.

I'm just trying to remove the ridiculous impression that Obama can coast through a fall campaign via looks and speeches. It's going to be far more brutal and disgusting than we imagine.

For one thing, I'm very familiar with one of the top GOP strategists this cycle. Mike (Darth) Slanker has produced GOP commercials in Nevada and they are considerably more effective than the national versions. He twists and redefines to the point even sweetheart candidates like Tessa Hafen spike considerably in unfavorable percentage. Every opponent of Jon Porter (NV-3) has been unfairly savaged, with the media trying desperately to emphasize how misleading the commercials are, but without impact. Slanker was hired by the GOP to run the national senate advertising campaigns in '08, and it's foolish to believe he won't be utilized in the presidential race.
