Getting Mrs. Clinton
<snip>

I think we've reached a signal point in the campaign. This is the point where, with Hillary Clinton, either you get it or you don't. There's no dodging now. You either understand the problem with her candidacy, or you don't. You either understand who she is, or not. And if you don't, after 16 years of watching Clintonian dramas, you probably never will.

That's what the Bosnia story was about. Her fictions about dodging bullets on the tarmac -- and we have to hope they were lies, because if they weren't, if she thought what she was saying was true, we are in worse trouble than we thought -- either confirmed what you already knew (she lies as a matter of strategy, or, as William Safire said in 1996, by nature) or revealed in an unforgettable way (videotape! Smiling girl in pigtails offering flowers!) what you feared (that she lies more than is humanly usual, even politically usual).

1. Mrs. Clinton? More RW talking points. It's SENATOR Clinton.

4. This Obama supporter agrees.
And I'll go further to state that posting Peggy Noonan garbage on DU only hurts the forum, it does nothing to boost Obama.

We need to get back to being Democrats, not just hyper-partisans scrounging garbage sites for any dirty attack.

9. I know nothing about Peggy Noonan; I liked her article
We all have degrees of political awareness and who's who in political opinion. Suffer those not as aware as you.

15. Peggy Noonan is a gifted wordsmith who irrationally hates all Democrats
She was Reagan's favorite speechwriter. She adored him. Her book about him was called "When Character was King". She meant this title without any trace of irony. She went on Jon Stewart's show and admitted that Reagan had only one scandal during his administration. She said this with a straight face, too.

Noonan is smart. She writes well. She is evil

25. It wasn't a personal attack on you.
There's been a lot of threads - from both sides - posted using right wing attacks against our candidates. A general rule that I take any pundit to heart is to search for previous articles they've written and see what angle their coming from. That way I have a better idea whether they are sincerely concerned about an issue or are just trying to ratchet up the divide. That works for both left and right wing columnists, by the way.

Sorry if I made it sound personal. :hi:

5. If It Weren't For Mr. Clinton...
There would be no Sen. Clinton. So, calling her Mrs. Clinton is apropos.

14. No, it's "Mrs. Clinton" when HRC says "my husband" in order to take credit for HIS Administration's
accomplishments, it's "Hillary" when she wishes to be considered "ALL women," and it's "Senator Clinton" to anyone who does not automatically defer to her RIGHT to the Democratic Nomination. :eyes:

23. Actually it is both. So to just say "Clinton" or "Hillary" (since we all know "Clinton" means Bill)
is okay, but to put "Mrs." causes you to pick on that? You must be quite desperate if that is the only issue you find with the OP.

i thought hillary was a good candidate who could do the job. however, in the last few months, watching her tactics, her lying, her 5 endorsements of McCain, i now see the real hillary and i don't like what i see.

We all don't have the same degree of political awareness as you. I just liked the article and wanted to share. I don't read the WSJ so I never looked at it as RW and never really cared what they wrote.
