Unintended Consequences
It seems the Republicans thought they could capitalize on Reagan's death and that Bush would ride a wave of nostalgia to re-election..... Well, that hasn't happened... Recently released polls showing him falling further behind John Kerry...

This is very understandable for Bush looks very small in comparison to Reagan; like a midget...Though I profoundly disagreed with Reagan on just about everything I respected his ability to deliver a speech, his ability to inspire, his sunny optimism, his rise from humble origins... In all these areas the Simian In Chief is lacking....

The more you see Reagan the worse Bush looks...

Ronald Reagan has cast a wide shadow.... A shadow that is hiding the Simian in Chief...

country is what we have to "obscure" another horrible president who cannot charm as well as the other did... sigh...

3. Frankly, I never got the "Great Communicator" thing
Reagan was unable to speak well without cue cards. I never thought he was an effective speaker. However, besides Bush the Lesser he looks like MLK in terms of his oratory ability.
