Los Angeles Times poll analysis suggests that the only Bush argument against Kerry that persuades even a little is the idea that Kerry flip-flops on issues for political advantage. While Kerry is above 50 percent in a nationwide two-man race, and Bush has the highest wrong track number recorded in the 43 history of the poll, the Battle ground state results have Maine at +10 for Kerry, Nevada +10 Kerry, with the AP reporting Kerry only +2 in Michigan, GOPer Matt Dowd told ABC News that the LA Times poll was a mess because Bush leads independents by three, and leads GOPer's by a larger margin than Kerry is ahead among Dems, and says GOP sees a Dem 9 point lead on the generic congressional ballot - not the 19 in the poll.
