2. That's hardly fair
I'm no supporter, but where would Obama's finances be without his books?

3. Her Presidential Bid Has Been In The Works For Years...
If you believe these exorbitant speaking fees of his were without a quid pro quo, I have some property I'm sure you'd be interested in.

4. OK, I'll bite...
I did some research on this just now.

Speaking fees/engagement for:

Michael Moore: $25,000
(http://sandiego.indymedia.org/en/2004/09/105768.shtml)

Tom Brokaw: $50,000
Al Franken: $35,000-50,000
Bob Dole: $35,000-50,000
(http://www.otellus.com/main/Default.asp?orderby=lastname&countrysearch=0&statesearch=0&topicsearch=119&show=&search=t1&nav=1&pg=1)

Newt Gingrich: $50,000 (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2007/02/05/8399121/index.htm)

Trent Lott: $100,000+
(http://www.nationalreview.com/comment/comment-connerly010203.asp)

As you can see, prices range wildly for "luminaries," but it looks like $50K is average for political types, Though Bill can probaby get at least as much as Cat-Killer.

Looks to me like you're arguing correlation, not causation. Unless you think Lott is still gonna throw his hat in the ring?
